Autum Skillz and GCSE Camp

The Autum Skillz and GCSE Camp is a multi-group, highly structured training programme where younger athletes combine individual ball-handling skill work with basic team scrimmaging. Athletes who need to perfect the technical form necessary to successfully receive serves, and to pass, set and spike the ball will follow the Skillz curriculum to refine their technique. More advanced players will train in a mainly team-based curriculum designed to introduce them to the competitive and tactical aspects of the game in preparation for the demands of sustained performance training. Running simultaneously will be the GCSE option. This course gives GCSE Sports Studies students 15 hours of tuition from some of the country's leading volleyball coaches, demonstrations, and a video recording of the sessions to use in a remote assessment by their school PE instructor. This can be worth 10 percent of the GCSE grade.
