About This Camp
Heart and Soul of Our Team: Alina Mayer-Virtanen
Alina Mayer-Virtanen is a Master of Science in Psychology. She skated for 24 years, representing Germany, with the last few years of her skating career spent competing at the international level in single skating.
Since 2013, Alina has been coaching single skating, starting in Oberstdorf, Germany, and expanding to Finland in 2017. For the past three years, she has been living full-time in Finland, coaching and serving as the head coach of Peurunka Skating Academy in Laukaa.
For the 2024–2025 season, Alina is one of the lead coaches responsible for the Middle-Finland and East Finland areas, focusing on developing young skating talent in these regions.
