The Total Sailing Program

The Sailing program at Olympia allows campers to learn about introductory concepts in sailing and gain on-water experience through interactive games and exciting lessons. Participants will learn about parts of the boat, how to steer, points of sail, and how to recover a capsized boat among many other things. Campers will get the chance to try sailing on both Pico boats and Hobie Cats throughout the week with their fellow campers and experienced staff!

• Over 30 hours of specialized instruction by a C.Y.A. Certified instructor and staff
• Starting with sail theory, points of sail, rigging, and derigging
• Progressing to boat handling, boat control including: race tactics, strategy, and safety
