Unleash your fencing potential at California Fencing Camp 2027, an intensive summer épée camp hosted at Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California.
This residential-style fencing camp takes place from July 23–31, 2027 and is designed for motivated fencers who want to improve their épée skills, train with accomplished coaches, compete with ambitious athletes, and enjoy an unforgettable fencing experience in one of California’s most beautiful coastal locations.
The camp focuses specifically on épée fencing, with a full week of training, conditioning, tactical development, and supervised bouts. Participants work on technical precision, footwork, timing, distance control, tactical decision-making, competitive mindset, and bout management. The goal is to help athletes become smarter, stronger, more confident, and more competitive on the strip.
California Fencing Camp brings together experienced coaches from leading college and club environments. The listed coaching team includes Marat Israelian, Head Fencing Coach at Yale University and former Israeli National Team member; Olek Dymar, épée coach at Maximum Fencing Club with international coaching experience in Ukraine, China, Hong Kong, and the United States; and Slava Zingerman, a three-time NCAA champion and experienced coach connected with top fencing programs.
The camp also features accomplished competitive athletes who help create a serious and inspiring training environment. Athletes can learn from fencers with national, NCAA, and international experience while training alongside other motivated épée fencers.
The location at Stevenson School offers a complete camp setting surrounded by the Monterey Peninsula’s coastline and forests. Comfortable rooms accommodate one or two fencers, and residence halls include lounges, Wi-Fi, kitchens, and laundry facilities. Rooms for parents may be available upon request.
Optional private lessons are available during free periods, with limited spots and advance booking required. These one-on-one sessions give fencers the chance to receive more personal technical and tactical feedback from top épée coaches.
