🏀 Discover Basketball with GHC Juniors
Taking place from 06/15/2027–06/19/2027, GHC Juniors welcomes boys and girls born from 2016 through 2020 to Riga for five days of basketball and active learning.
🌟 Beginners Welcome
Children can join without previous basketball experience. Young club and sports-school players are also welcome, with coaching adapted to each group’s age and development.
🎯 Basketball Foundations
The programme covers:
🏀 Dribbling and passing
🎯 Shooting and finishing
👣 Footwork and movement
🤝 Communication and teamwork
Games, challenges and team activities give children opportunities to practise together.
💪 Confidence & Coordination
Coaches encourage participants to try new things, communicate and become comfortable on court. Alongside basketball, the programme supports coordination, independence and discipline.
🗣️ Language Support
English and Latvian will be used as needed to help children understand instructions and take part confidently.
👥 Behind the Camp
GHC’s founding team combines basketball and education experience. Project manager Indra Bondare-Gailīte has a background in education, while former Latvian national-team players Haralds Kārlis and Lauris Blaus contribute to the organisation’s basketball operations.
