International Academy and College Pathway Camp 2026
Take part in three focused days of basketball development at the Talata International Academy and College Pathway Camp, taking place from 28β30 December 2026 at Hafnia-Hallen in Copenhagen.
The camp is designed for players aged 13β17 who already play for a basketball club and want an objective picture of their current level, understand what higher-level basketball demands and learn more about the pathway toward playing in the United States. Places are limited to only 16 players, creating a focused development environment.
Players begin by building a measurable basketball profile.
Testing includes:
π Height
π Wingspan
π Standing reach
β¬οΈ Vertical jump
β‘ Lane agility
π Timed shooting
These measurements give each player concrete performance information rather than relying only on impressions from normal team practices.
The morning part of each camp day combines testing with basketball skill work.
Players are challenged through exercises designed to develop:
π Ball handling
π― Shooting
π£ Footwork
β‘ Movement and agility
π§ Decision-making
π₯ Competitive execution
π€ Playing with unfamiliar teammates
π Performing under pressure
The camp is intended for players who already have club experience and want to see how their skills compare within a more demanding development environment.
A major part of the Pathway Camp is filmed training and game play.
After the morning session, players review footage from their own training and live play. This gives athletes the opportunity to see themselves from a coach's perspective and better understand what is happening during possessions.
Video review can help players identify:
π― Shot selection
π£ Positioning
π§ Decision-making
π‘οΈ Defensive habits
β‘ Movement without the ball
π€ Team play
π Areas for future development
Live play is filmed from a fixed camera, and participants review their own footage during the camp.
Each afternoon includes live basketball, giving players the opportunity to apply their skills in realistic game situations.
The live-play sessions help athletes work on:
π Reading the defence
β‘ Making faster decisions
π― Creating good shots
π‘οΈ Individual and team defence
π€ Communication
π₯ Playing under competitive pressure
π§ Basketball IQ
Rather than concentrating only on isolated drills, the camp gives coaches an opportunity to evaluate how each player performs when the game becomes unpredictable.
One of the most valuable elements of the camp is the written player evaluation provided on the final day.
Each participant leaves with feedback that can help them understand:
β
Where they currently stand
β
Their strengths
β
Areas requiring further development
β
What they should continue working on
β
How their current game translates into a more competitive basketball environment
This makes the camp particularly useful for ambitious players who want clearer direction for their next stage of development.
The camp is built around the question of what playing basketball in America actually takes.
Talata's wider Academy program includes video analysis, player development and scholarship-pathway support, with coaches who have experience with college basketball and higher-level competitive environments.
For players considering basketball abroad in the future, the camp provides an opportunity to experience structured evaluation and understand the areas that matter when progressing toward higher levels.
Participants receive:
π½οΈ Lunch
π Snacks
π Camp T-shirt
π₯ Filmed basketball sessions
π Athletic measurements
π Individual written evaluation
Players only need to bring indoor basketball shoes and a water bottle. Doors open at 08:45, with camp activities running from 09:00β14:00 each day.
With only 16 available places, the International Academy and College Pathway Camp offers a focused three-day experience for ambitious young basketball players looking for measurable feedback, competitive training and greater understanding of their future basketball pathway.
