This residential weekend offers two and a half days of martial arts training and welcomes practitioners from all styles.

Within Kempo Genbu Ryu, kata uses prearranged movements to develop balance, posture, coordination and focused execution. It connects technical practice with the concentration needed to move deliberately and consistently.

For participants interested in this side of karate, the camp provides an opportunity to spend time on a discipline central to the style.

⚔️ Kumite & Martial Arts Practice

Kumite is the sparring component of karate. Kempo Genbu Ryu’s wider training approach emphasises control, speed, positioning and effective technique.

Its practice also incorporates kickboxing and grappling, bringing striking and ground-based skills into a broader martial arts curriculum.

🍽️ Meals Included

Dinner is provided on Friday and Saturday. Saturday and Sunday include breakfast, lunch, morning tea and afternoon tea.

🚌 Optional Transport

A return bus service costs AUD 25, including transport to beach training. Pickup points are Hombu, Chatswood and Earlwood dojos.
