The Junior Series U20 race is part of the Tinman Triathlon at Mount Maunganui, held on the same day as major Tri NZ competition.
The camp is designed around a focused group environment, with places targeted at the first 24 athletes eligible for the U20 field. Tri NZ also allows U17 athletes to register for a waitlist if places become available.
Tri NZ competition rules define junior athletes as 16β19 years old, making this camp particularly relevant for competitive young triathletes developing toward higher-level junior racing.
The event is described by Tri NZ as a residential-style camp, allowing athletes to spend the weekend training, learning and racing together. Accommodation and meals are organised separately by athletes and their families, while possible billeting with Tauranga Triathlon Club juniors may be available.
It is an excellent opportunity for young triathletes to combine coached development, race preparation, education and Junior Series competition in one of New Zealandβs leading triathlon locations
