⛷️ Six-Day Alpine Ski Experience in Zermatt

Start the year on the slopes at the University of Geneva’s Zermatt Ski Camp, taking place from 01/04/2027–01/09/2027.

Now in its 83rd edition, this winter camp brings participants to the Swiss Alps beneath the Matterhorn. With a base in Zermatt’s car-free village, the programme combines skiing, shared hotel accommodation and optional instruction.

🏔️ Six Days on the Mountain

The package includes a six-day lift pass for the Swiss ski area. Participants can choose to add coaching, with eight half-days of lessons available for beginners and those developing their technique.

🌱 First-Time Skiers
Learn balance, sliding, stopping and initial changes of direction on easy slopes.

⛷️ Developing Skiers
Build confidence on gentle terrain, improve snowplough turns and begin bringing the skis parallel.

🔄 Intermediate Skiers
Work toward parallel turns on blue slopes and develop the skills needed to begin skiing red runs.

🏔️ Confident Skiers
Improve parallel skiing in more varied conditions and adapt turns to steeper or more challenging slopes.

⚡ Advanced Skiers
Refine technique, coordination and movement across different terrain.

Choose the level that reflects how you ski today so your instruction matches your needs.

🤝 A Week of Learning

Participants booking lessons commit to the programme for the week. The organiser’s ski-camp guidance also provides for two half-days of free skiing.

Lessons are delivered in French, although some instructors can also give instructions in English.

Stay in a three-star hotel in Zermatt, in rooms with two, three or four beds.

Room-sharing preferences can be submitted during registration. Hotel selection and single rooms are not available.

🚆 Travel Included

The package includes return second-class train travel from Geneva.

Participants wishing to join the group at another station along the route should arrange this with the organiser beforehand.

🎿 Equipment Preparation

If you book lessons, arrive with your ski equipment ready: lesson groups head directly to the slopes upon reaching the resort.

According to the organiser’s guidance, renting equipment after arrival is only an option for participants who have not booked lessons.

🇮🇹 Optional Italian Ski-Area Access

Participants not taking lessons can add access to the Italian side for CHF 50, selected separately during registration.
