Swim Camp May 2027 in Piombino, Italy for competitive swimmers aged 10 to 18
Your swimmer trains for a week in a heated Olympic 50 metre pool, coached by an Olympic or national champion. After our May camp 2026, our swimmers were on average 1.3 seconds faster on the 100 metres freestyle.
The camp runs from Sunday 25 April to Saturday 1 May 2027 at the Poggio all'Agnello resort in Piombino, Tuscany, Italy. It is for club swimmers aged 10 to 18, and every level is welcome.
A full camp day has two swim sessions of two hours and two dryland sessions. A typical day: dryland 09:00 to 09:30, swim 09:30 to 11:30, dryland 15:00 to 16:00, swim 16:00 to 18:00. On arrival day we swim from 16:00 to 18:00. On departure day there is a morning session and you leave after lunch.
Swimmers are grouped by age, stroke, speed and shared technique goals. There is also a group for slower swimmers, so nobody is out of place.
We use video analysis throughout the camp. Starts are filmed and discussed straight away, and underwater footage is reviewed in the group or one to one. Every swimmer takes a personal analysis home. We also work on mental resilience and race strategy. EO SwimBETTER force measurement is available as an option.
Residential: 6 nights full board at the resort, with three buffet meals a day. Apartments for 2 to 4 swimmers, each with its own bathroom. Boys and girls sleep separately.
Day Camp: your swimmer joins all sessions and activities and stays with you at the resort, because the pool is for resort guests only. Most swimmers are dropped off after breakfast and picked up after the last session. Lunch is an option at €150. Staying longer? Breakfast and dinner together are an option at €175.
The resort is fenced and swimmers never leave it without supervision. Lights out is at 22:00 with an evening round. Our staff sleep in the same resort and are reachable 24/7, and extra staff with first aid are at every session. In the evening our activity leader runs the programme. Parents follow the week in our own app, with a chat for parents.
An Arena swimsuit or brief with your swimmer's own name and the official camp shirt. Expert Swimcamp is an official Arena partner. All training sessions are included in the camp price.
Day Camp €1,295 and Residential €1,795 for bookings until 31 December 2026. From 1 January 2027 the prices are €1,495 and €1,995. A €500 deposit secures the place and locks the price. The deposit is not refunded, and the balance is due 3 months before the camp. Travel and health insurance are required.
There is a train station a 5 minute walk from the resort, and we can arrange an airport transfer for a fee.
