Alina Mayer-Virtanen is a Master of Science in Psychology. She skated for 24 years, representing Germany. In the final years of her career, Alina competed at the international level in single skating.
Alina has been coaching single skating since 2013, starting in Oberstdorf, Germany, and continuing in Finland since 2017. For the past three years, she has been living full-time in Finland and coaching. She is the Head Coach of Peurunka Skating Academy in Laukaa.
For the 2024–2025 season, Alina will be one of the responsible coaches for the Middle-Finland and East Finland regions, contributing to the growth of skating talent in these areas.
