Rotterdam 2026: From Watching World Champions to Your First Gymnastics Camp

Rotterdam 2026: From Watching World Champions to Your First Gymnastics Camp

October 15, 2026

The gymnastics world is heading to Rotterdam—and the excitement could inspire your family’s next sporting adventure.

From 10/17/2026 to 10/25/2026, Rotterdam Ahoy hosts the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. Athletes will compete for team, all-around and individual apparatus titles across nine days of competition.

For young viewers, it is an opportunity to discover the variety of gymnastics. For parents, it could spark a conversation: would your child like to try the sport or spend more time developing skills they already enjoy?

What to watch in Rotterdam

The championships begin with qualification rounds, followed by:

  • 10/20/2026: Men’s team final.

  • 10/21/2026: Women’s team final.

  • 10/22/2026–10/23/2026: All-around finals.

  • 10/24/2026–10/25/2026: Apparatus finals.

Look beyond the most spectacular skills. Notice the controlled landings, balance, rhythm and concentration—and the encouragement athletes give their teammates.

These are useful starting points for discussing gymnastics with a child who is curious about taking part.

A direct connection between Rotterdam and camp life

International Gymnastics Camp, known as IGC, is an Official Supporter of the 2026 World Championships.

According to the championship’s official announcement, IGC will have a stand in the Rotterdam Ahoy Fanzone. Visitors can meet the team and learn about the camp, while the wider Fanzone includes opportunities to try gymnastics activities.

It is a fitting connection between watching elite competition and discovering ways to participate.

Based in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, IGC welcomes boys and girls aged 7–17 across different ability levels. Three of its 2027 summer sessions are featured below on TopSportsCamps.com.

Start with curiosity, then find the right fit

Your child does not need championship ambitions to enjoy gymnastics.

Before choosing a camp, consider their interest, experience and readiness for a residential stay. Look at how coaching groups are arranged, what the daily schedule involves and what support is available for first-time campers.

Let Rotterdam provide the inspiration. Then explore the individual camp listings on TopSportsCamps.com to find a suitable next step.
