Bedford Blues April Rugby Camp 2027
Spend three active days developing rugby skills at the Bedford Blues April Rugby Camp 2027, taking place from 6–8 April 2027 at Bedford Blues Rugby Club’s Goldington Road ground.
The camp is designed for young players from Under 7 to Under 12 and welcomes both experienced junior rugby players and children who are relatively new to the sport. Sessions are delivered by Blues Foundation community coaches together with professional players, giving participants the opportunity to learn in the environment of Bedford Blues Rugby Club.
The program follows the Blues Foundation’s whole-rugby approach, combining technical development, teamwork, decision-making and enjoyable game-based activities. Coaches aim to challenge players while supporting each child’s individual development.
Training can include:
✅ Passing and receiving
✅ Ball handling
✅ Running with the ball
✅ Evasion and movement
✅ Attacking skills
✅ Defensive awareness
✅ Teamwork and communication
✅ Decision-making
✅ Small-sided rugby games
✅ Match-based activities
✅ Confidence and individual development
Players are grouped as appropriately as possible according to age, helping them train with others at a similar stage of development. The coaching team focuses on helping each player improve while maintaining a fun and supportive camp atmosphere.
Each camp day runs from 10:00–15:00, with optional early drop-off available from 08:45 and late pick-up until 16:15.
The camp is suitable for children who want to improve their rugby fundamentals, build confidence, stay active during the Easter school holidays and enjoy three days of rugby with other enthusiastic young players
