This 5-day full-day surf camp takes place from 21–25 June 2027 at Praia do Castelo in Costa da Caparica, just south of Lisbon. The program is designed for children and teenagers aged 6–16 and combines structured surf development with beach activities, SUP, water safety and plenty of fun.
Camp days run from 09:30–16:30. Mornings and afternoons are supervised by certified surf instructors, with small training groups of approximately one coach for every 4–5 children. Equipment and instruction are adapted to each participant’s experience level, making the camp suitable for beginners as well as children who already have surfing experience.
The program introduces campers to surf equipment, ocean awareness and safety rules before developing practical skills such as the take-off, basic stance, catching waves with and without assistance, riding whitewater to the left and right, and—when conditions allow—catching unbroken waves.
Surf and SUP activities are combined to create a varied and active beach week. A wetsuit, surfboard and rash vest are provided, and campers have access to changing and shower facilities as well as secure space for personal belongings.
Personal accident and public liability insurance are included. Families can also add a complete lunch package or organized transport from selected Lisbon, Almada and Setúbal areas.
This camp is ideal for children who want to discover surfing, become more confident in the ocean and enjoy an active summer experience on Portugal’s Atlantic coast.
