Road to Benfica Campus Autumn Edition 2026
Experience the training methodology, competitive environment and daily standards of one of Europe’s best-known football academies at Road to Benfica Campus Autumn Edition 2026.
This 7-day international team football program takes place from 20–26 October 2026 at the Benfica Campus in Seixal, Portugal, together with competitive youth football activities in the Lisbon region. The program is organized directly by Sport Lisboa e Benfica for boys’ and girls’ teams from U11 to U19.
Road to Benfica Campus is different from a traditional individual football camp. Teams must register through their club or academy, and individual player applications are not accepted. Participation is subject to validation by SL Benfica’s Technical Coordination, helping maintain an appropriate sporting standard across participating teams.
During the first part of the program, players train at Benfica Campus, the home of SL Benfica’s football development system. Daily sessions are led by qualified Benfica coaches and introduce participants to the club’s methodology, training intensity and approach to developing both individual and collective performance.
Training focuses on technical ability, tactical understanding, game intelligence, decision-making, competitiveness, communication and team organization. Benfica coaches work alongside the visiting team’s staff, allowing the experience to support both individual development and the team’s wider objectives.
After the preparation phase, teams move into the competitive part of the program with participation in a major youth tournament in the Lisbon region, such as IberCup or Lisbon Youth Cup. Benfica coaches continue to monitor the competitive phase together with the team’s own coaches.
The package is designed as a complete residential football experience. It includes full-board accommodation, daily Benfica training, tournament participation, official SL Benfica training kit and backpack, sports and health insurance, transport between the hotel and Benfica Campus, individual player evaluations and a participation certificate.
Meals follow guidelines prepared by Benfica’s Nutrition Department, giving players additional exposure to the routines surrounding high-performance football.
Participants also visit the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Benfica Museum – Cosme Damião, connecting their training experience with the history and identity of the club.
