Max Ivanov & IH PRO Ice Hockey Camp Füssen 2026
Join Max Ivanov and the international IH PRO coaching team for two intensive days of skating, puck skills, dryland work and hockey development at the IH PRO Ice Hockey Camp Füssen 2026, taking place from 11–12 October 2026 in Füssen, Germany.
The camp is part of IH PRO's international elite development program and is open to players born from 2002 through 2020. Training combines individual technical development with decision-making, game understanding and physical preparation, giving players the opportunity to work on the skills that transfer directly into competitive hockey.
Each camp day is built around a high-volume hockey schedule featuring two ice sessions, dryland training, video and theory work, puck-handling development and IH PRO game activities.
A major focus of the camp is skating efficiency and explosiveness.
Players work on areas including:
🏒 Explosive acceleration
🏒 Faster starts
🏒 Turns and stops in tight areas
🏒 Balance and body control
🏒 Maintaining speed during physical pressure
🏒 Power skating with resistance
🏒 Power skating while controlling the puck
🏒 Agility and maneuverability
The objective is to help athletes become more efficient skaters who can create and maintain speed while still being able to react quickly to game situations.
IH PRO combines skating work with extensive puck-control development.
Training can include:
🏒 Fast stickhandling
🏒 Wide dribbling movements
🏒 Hand positioning
🏒 Puck control at speed
🏒 Shooting development
🏒 Decision-making with the puck
🏒 Combining skating and stickhandling
Players are encouraged to execute skills under movement and pressure rather than practising only stationary techniques.
The camp also works on the tactical side of hockey.
Players develop the ability to:
🧠 Read changing situations
🧠 React quickly to teammates and opponents
🧠 Understand when to accelerate or slow play
🧠 Make better decisions with and without the puck
🧠 Improve overall game sense
Forwards receive instruction on attacking defenders and putting defensive players under pressure.
Defensemen work on maintaining appropriate gaps against attacking forwards and protecting dangerous scoring areas.
Off-ice sessions focus on hockey-specific physical qualities including:
💪 Power
💪 Strength
💪 Agility
💪 Stamina
💪 Movement patterns used in power skating
The camp is led by Maxim Ivanov, whom IH PRO describes as a power-skating and hockey-skills specialist.
IH PRO lists Ivanov's experience as including work connected with Stanley Cup-winning Pittsburgh Penguins teams in 2016 and 2017 and Florida Panthers championship teams in 2024 and 2025, along with the 2021 Gagarin Cup-winning Avangard Omsk organization. The organizer currently identifies him as a skills-development coach working with Florida and Avangard.
IH PRO says Ivanov has spent more than 15 years participating in and organizing elite hockey camps internationally and has worked with players from leagues including the NHL, KHL, SHL and Finland's top professional league.
